The Data Scientist is a 100% Telecommuting Position [may work from anywhere in the U.S. mainland and/or territories].
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain machine learning models that are aligned with business objectives.
- Investigate data issues and monitor machine learning model performance.
- Develop and maintain robust data analytics frameworks, methodologies, and implement best practices to drive efficiency and accuracy in data analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute experiments and analyses.
- Conduct in-depth data analysis, applying statistical techniques and data mining methods to extract actionable insights and trends.
- Translate and simplify data-informed insights into actionable business recommendations, implications and relevant data products.
- Utilize NLP techniques to extract meaningful information from unstructured data sources.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in machine learning and NLP to ensure cutting-edge solutions.
- Develop and implement advanced Natural Language Processing models to extract, analyze, and validate information from textual data sources
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field plus 5 years of related experience.
- Requires 5 years of experience with the following: Working with data and predictive models; Developing and deploying machine learning models in real world scenarios; Statistical programming language Python or R; NLP feature engineering and modeling; SQL or Snowflake; Data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation; Communicating complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position (e.g., sitting or standing) for extended periods of time, typically in a cubicle environment (constant noise, fluorescent overhead lighting)
- Frequent use of a computer, dual monitors, keyboard, mouse, and other standard office equipment such as a telephone, copier, and printer.
- Must be able to communicate effectively, including exchanging information in person, in writing, by telephone, email or video conferencing.
- Visual and auditory acuity required to perform job duties effectively, including reading, writing, and interpreting information on screens or in print.
- Hand dexterity, fine motor skills needed to operate a keyboard and mouse efficiently
- Reach with hands and arms occasionally
